Walk Details
A short strenuous walk to the small white chapel above Pinos Del Valle, high above the lake at Beznar. The walk is on a well graded zig zag footpath in pine trees and offers unparalled views of the Lecrin Valley. Time taken about 2 hours. Best time to do it; late afternoon or early evening depending on daylight in the summer, any time in the winter.

Driving Instructions
From Talara take the main road down hill past the council offices and on to Beznar, continue through Beznar and up to the roundabout. Take the second exit sign posted Pinos Del Valle. Follow the road down to, and across the dam, and continue to drive up into Pinos Del Valle. At the T junction turn right up the hill and past Bar Venecia on your right (you may want to stop here on your way back and enjoy a drink on the terrace). Continue to the T junction at the top and turn right, drive about 100 meters and park by the basket ball courts on your left.

Walk Directions
The walk goes up the side of the old wash tubs (still used) and around to your left on the dirt road, go up the hill and around the building to the footpath sign on your left pointing to Ermita Cristo Del Zapato. Take the path up to and around the new building (this new building completely obliterates the old path). Do not be put off by the steepness of the new route, once you get above the building you regain the old path.
Continue along the path, gently climbing your way up the hillside, At the top climb up the steps into the Hermitage.
From here you can see all the villages of the Lecrin Valley, with Pinos del Valle immediately below you. By the side of the lake is Beznar, to the left and on the hill is Chite, behind which is Talara above the motorway, and on the right hand side of the Rio Torrente is Acequias, and on the left hand side Niguelas. Follow the Torrente down and you come to Murchas, then Melegis and in the bottom Restabal, going up the valley above Restabal you can just catch a glimpse of Solares and above that Albunuelas.
The return path is back the way you came up.
At the car park you have a choice of 2 ways back to Talara. You can return the way you came, or continue along the road and into Restabal, around the top end of the lake into Melegis and back up into Talara.
